In this day and age, staying on top of what's going on in the world seems hard enough, especially if one wants to get to 'truthful' informations. What do you do? Buy and read all of the newspapers? If you have that amount of time, you probably couldn't afford it. And if you could afford it, then you probably wouldn't have that much time! (discuss) So here are some specific newsletters and podcasts that I find quite useful to navigate this crazy world (and don't require subscriptions, or long times, you could scroll through and maybe keep some of the long reads for later)

Music can be very powerful, and often songs are used to pass on meaningful messages. So I wanted to share with you some great songs that also spread a message of sustainability I have been talking a lot on this blog about the issues with finding scientifically accurate information
But again, a Twitter thread (from Prof Gattuso, you can follow him here ) AND a discussion with a journalist on the same day made me realise that there is still plenty of things to discuss Specifically the ‘mantras’ that are still perpetuated, maybe for the right reasons (like calling for environmental protection) but adding the confusion and actually spreading misinformation The scientific saga continues. I know, it seems like I am going off on a tangent.
But I think this has all to do with the bigger picture of a more sustainable world.. Remember last week I was writing about minimalism in science output (better , the lack of it). Well, turns out It is worse than this. |
