It's detox time!

Between the Easter break and being away from home and my usual routine, thus eating differently than normal I felt in need for a little detox time to kick start the healthy routine again!
I haven't actually done a juice cleanse before and I have always been quite skeptical of them, but after reading some more I decided that it would be a good way to go.
Now.. with many companies out there offering juice cleanses - how do you choose?

I wanted something as local as possible and with as little impact as possible.
​So I came across "Skinny Malinkys" - made fresh in Northern Ireland (where I currently am). 

I really liked the idea of going to collect the juices myself instead of using a courier (seeing they are based 12 minutes from my house...), so this morning I ventured to their base and I was met by the beautiful Paula who was very sunny and radiating energy (okay, maybe the sunny weather helped) and was all I expected (and hoped) to see from someone who promotes a healthy way of life!
So here I am, ready to start and to take this challenge. As I am writing this I had my breakfast of "Carrot Kick Start" and I have to say it's very good! 

So what made me choose this company:

- Proximity
- Use of local ingredients as much as possible
- Well explained juicing process 
- Good website
- Run by a woman

Only con I can find with this so far is the amount of plastic bottles I will have used by the end of just 3 days... BUT don't fear, it won't go to waste - I have some DIY ideas to put them to good use so stay tuned!
